Brand Development and Marketing

At New Moon we strive to go above and beyond expectation.
Here are a few thoughts from some of our happy clients:

"I was very happy with the services of New Moon Visions. Kim is just a peach to work with, very eager to please and accommodating. I thought there were many times that they were put to the extra test of having to dig deeply into my mind to figure out exactly what I meant or was thinking and that was my fault, but they persevered and always figured me out. And I will always be grateful for the patience they had with my committee and its members. Their experience with downtowns and how they work was invaluable in the process. I would recommend New Moon highly and without reservation. It is obvious that they care about their work."

"With the help of Kim Rivera and her creative staff at New Moon, the City of Northville launched and impressive marketing and promotional campaign for Downtown Northville. New Moon provided excellent client service that went above and beyond contract services. They were able to bring a diverse group of players together to find a common vision for the community. The Downtown Development Authority, Chamber of Commerce, and merchants association are now all speaking with one consistent voice. The marketing and public relations campaign has been wildly successful. My only regret, is that we did not contract with New Moon years ago for help. Their professional advise has made all the difference!"

"This year, due to the momentum that we have created with the implementation of the various aspects of the marketing plan, our merchants reported sales that met or exceeded last year’s sales. In the current economy, that is quite a feat. We heard feedback that credited the comprehensive marketing plan for this.

Also…we have a SHORTAGE of available properties in the Downtown. We receive inquiries each week from folks wanting to open a business downtown, or move an existing business to a more prominent location and we have nothing to offer them. It has caused the properties on the periphery of downtown to be rented for more retail type business where previously they were office-type uses.

This may not seem like such a big deal, except when you take into consideration that everywhere else, businesses are struggling. The marketing plan, for Plymouth, was the icing on the cake. First we did a parking deck in 1983, then a streetscape in 1992, then in 1997 (?) we revised our zoning ordinance to make it easier to attract businesses, in 2001-2004 we did a parking management study and implemented free time-limited parking with enforcement. During the implementation of all of this “framework” for a successful downtown, we started to expand the number of events that are offered downtown. (Ice Fest, Art in the Park, Friday Concerts, Children’s Concerts, Fall Festival, Art Feast and more)

Then, once all of these things were in place, and operating, the DDA began to explore marketing, because we knew we had a solid product to offer.

Over the past 2+ years, we have put out four issues of the DDA magazine, re-created the Downtown Walking Map, aired radio commercials, sent out press releases, recruited a major sponsor for our Friday Concerts, etc. etc.

As for specific measurable results:
Walt Menard at Lotus Arts Gallery sold two paintings ($1800 each) that were featured on two different issues of the Magazine. (Total sales $3600)

Sharon Pugh at sideways sold 35 of the Lolita martini glasses ($24 each) from her ad in the DDA Magazine (Total sale: $840).

• ROM Fitness said they had 15 new people sign up for their services ($60 month per person) in the first week the magazine was out. (Total sale $900)

These are just a few of the compliments we have received."

"I think that what sets Kim Rivera and New Moon Visions apart, as a vendor and as a creator, is the ability to really listen to what the client, or in this case community, is saying and to translate that vision into beautiful, lively, vibrant graphics.

Her enthusiasm, down-to-earth approachable demeanor, and a genuine desire to provide the best work possible stood out as we interviewed several firms. She has a gift for balancing her professional guidance with the input from the client/community. Above all she has the professionalism, integrity, flexibility, and talent that made her the best fit for our project."

"As an employee and consultant for the City of Brighton, Michigan, I had the distinguished privilege of working with the marketing and graphic design company New Moon Visions and Kim Rivera. New Moon Visions was contracted by the City of Brighton Principal Shopping District (PSD) Board of Directors to assist in the development of a logo, web site and business recruitment packet.

Ms. Rivera and her team went the extra mile in every instance to ensure that the City of Brighton PSD had a finished product to be proud of. New Moon Visions is an exemplary business in every way. They are professional, responsive, personable, and capable of working productively with a group of dynamic individuals. I would personally recommend Kim Rivera and her team."

"Kim Rivera at New Moon designed both the City and Downtown websites for us here in St. Louis Michigan. We are excited about the way both of them turned out and we get positive comments on a regular basis from local citizens as well as visitors to our sites. Kim proved to be imaginative, a talented designer and a good listener as we went through the process. She was able to translate our goals and requirements into something that represents St. Louis the way we want it to be represented."
